WriteNow seems to have a bug that causes the document to vaporize during spell checking. The bug usually shows up if a SAVE hasn't been done for a dozen or more spell checked words. Anyone else experience this? Document vaporization also occurs if you paste too many graphics into a paper between saves. I learned this trying to put together NeXT style manuals using the GRAB program. This bug brings up another question. Is there some way to autosave files you're editing, be they WriteNow, TopDraw, InterfaceBuilder, or another type. I have managed to bomb all of these programs, without leaving a trace of the files I was working on. Even SAVE early and SAVE often doesn't restore the lost thoughts in these files. I'd love to see future releases of all editing programs have some sort of autosave function. Until that time, is there some way to run a daemon or other process that will look for open files and save them based on some sort of time parameter ( perhaps every 5 minutes ). Perhaps an entry in the cron file? If anyone has thoughts on this please e-mail them to me and I will try to put together something. (I'll put together something if you e-mail me or not, but your input is very much welcome).
