[comp.sys.next] Floppies and DOS

Hi!

We seem to be having random problems with mounting/unmounting DOS diskettes
on the NeXTStations. Sometimes after someone mounts a DOS diskette
they try to "eject" under the "Disk" menu. The error message
"filesystem busy" or something similar pops up, and the Disk will not
eject...we need to eject it by hand. At first I thought that people
were trying to unmount while still INSIDE the DOS directory...but
this is not the case....

If NeXT wants their machines to be accepted by their target
market, they'd better make the Alert panel say which
application or process is keeping the device or filesystem.

"Device busy" is just not acceptable as a response to "Eject"
command.
