I am having a little problem with UUCP that I need some help with. Just a
small little hassle.. I can't get the mail to leave my Cube.
Everything was workling fine until a little over a week ago. Since then,
everytime I send mail or post a message using NewsGrazer, the mail goes into
mqueue and sits there. The "syslog" marks it as being "deferred" with no
time or date to defer until. A seemingly identical set up on a friend's
NeXTStation will toss the mail off to UUCP and put "Sent" in the syslog.
As you might imagine, this is driving me a bit nuts.
I can receive mail and Newsgroups fine, but outgoing stuff sits in the
system for three days and then gets throw back at the sender. I have
replaced the sendmail.cf and generally buggered around with things for about
8 hours now and still can't seem to resolve the problem.
This morning I found a core dump in the mqueue folder. Where did it come
from? Beats the hell outta me.
If anyone has had ant UUCP problems that had anything to do with mail being
"deferred", PLEASE give me a shout.
