A professor here at the U-M Art School is interested in using an NeXT Cube with
the NeXT Dimension board for compression and image generation.
As near as I can understand (not being much of an artist), he is currently
generating images on another workstation and want to import them to the NeXT,
compress them (probably with JPEG), then decompress the images in something
approaching real time so that he can examine them.
I don't know how complex the images are or what exactly he wants to do with
them, but I promised I would put a note on the net asking around.
Accordingly, if anyone would be interested in discussing graphics, compression,
and the NeXTDimension board with him by email briefly, could they email me?
