[comp.sys.next] NeXTstep on RS/6000

mfriedel@slate.mines.colorado.edu (Friedel Michael) (05/18/91)

I have also heard that IBM has problems with the licensing from
NeXT, now it is very nice to hear from someone at NeXT that they
supposedly do have the license to 2.0. I have heard from several
people now that they have seen 2.0 on the RS/6000, so the port
has apparently been done. IMHO NeXT should be happy that IBM is
willing to support NeXTstep, there can't be enough platfroms running
NeXTstep, I would give the licence away for free, probably the only
way NeXTstep has any chance against X.

So listen up IBM and NeXT, where is NS 2.0 on a RS/6000, we want it.

Mike
