Hi all, Is there a screen-saver that actually works out there anywhere? One that doesn't hang under 2.0 and keeps the screen actually black or with some pattern (but not just dimmed so it looks black with the lights on, really black - even with all the lights OFF! :-)?) I tried "screensaver" from sonata.cc.purdue.edu, but the problem is it assumes you have a "LocalApps" directory (which my slab does not) and it doesn't seem to work anyway. It claims you can customize the install script to put it anywhere, but (in the .tar I downloaded, anyway) there WAS no such script! (Sigh!) It would be nice if I could find one that works when the Login box is up, but my machine is in a secure location, so I don't even mind leaving it logged in, I just NEED as good screensaver. Cassandra 1.4 claims to have screensaver support, but darned if I can make it work! E-mail answers and I'll try to summarize. Thanx a zillion in advance. -- +=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ | Steve Kramarsky | steve@faerie.chi.il.us | "What's a Pterodactyl? | | University of Chicago | | Some kind of bug?" | | School of Law | - NeXtmail preferred - | - Hobbes |
