For the solution to a few problems, try dvips5.47 from labrea.stanford.edu; it should fix the accent problems. (Don't forget to get dvipslib.tar.Z and install the new vf and tfm files.) TeXView can't `handle' any fonts that you don't have on the NeXT; if you try Palatino without having installed Palatino, don't be surprised when it doesn't work in TeXView. To print to a non-NeXT PostScript printer from TeXView, you will have to select `custom resolution' and enter the appropriate number; this is my bug, sorry. I am working on an update to the software; I do not know when or how it will be available, but when it is, I will post to this group.

On labrea.stanford.edu in a file called ~ftp/pub/nexttex.tar.Z are new executables for TeX and iniTeX that will handle larger hyphenation patterns, as well as executables for a newer dvips that works around a bug in the 2.0/2.1 PostScript interpreter that affects the way rules are drawn. If anyone successfully uses this for Dutch or German hyphenation, please send me mail confirming that it works for you. -tom

Another `update' to NeXT TeX has been loaded on labrea.stanford.edu; this one fixes a few problems with TeXview. -tom
