I have an Improv application (my first) where I'm showing the relationship of several variables to a total, and need to graph the "total" row vs. one of the variables. The Improv presentation builder apparently doesn't allow this. If you graph a row it will automatically scale correctly on the Y axis, but presentation builder insists on using the row "object" labels as the X axis labels. It is important in this particular application to show the values of a different row on the X axis. I know I can change the labels by hand, but this seems like a lot of work to do for something that should be relatively simple. (There are a *lot* of rows.) If you click on the entire X axis label, you are presented with a little spreadsheet where you can enter values, but again you have to enter them by hand. There appears to be no way to link them back to a row in the main spreadsheet. I thought some clever choice of object label would help, but the values I need to show have four decimal places, and the granularity of the object labels seems confined to integers. I.E., the columns start out labeled "B1", "B2", "B3", etc., and you can't globally change them to anything other than text followed by linearly increasing integers. (Although you can change individual labels by hand, this is a massive and tedious task on a large spreadsheet.) The autonumbering of columns and rows is fine for showing things like quarterly earnings, and the presentation builder's automatic usage of object labels when drawing graphs certainly makes graphing spreadsheets such as the examples provided in the user's manual a snap, but I'm somewhat discouraged by my first attempt at doing "real work" under Improv. Is Improv really that limited, or am I missing something? Yes, I have RTFM. Any help or comments appreciated. Ron
