[comp.sys.next] So just what does "parity for farmers" mean?

marshall@software.software.org (Eric Marshall) (06/06/91)

I've heard Seymour Cray said it but that's it.

	Thanks in advance.

If you have a NeXT, do a webster on parity. :-)

It has to do with the price that farmers get paid for their crops, and
government subsidies. I seem to remember hearing a lot about it in the
late 70's, early 80's.

I've also seen the quote "Computer memory is like orgasm, its much better
if you don't have to fake it" attributed to Seymour Cray's thoughts on virtual
memory.
