Hi, If someone there has been successful in connecting a HP Laserjet IIp printer with a postscript cartridge to a '040 NeXTstation, can you please send me the procedure to do it. I would really appreciate help in this matter. This question is answered in FAQ; in case you don't have the May15 FAQ, here is a summary: The cable pinout listed in the NeXT manual page for zs does not apply to HP printers: interchange pins 4 and 20 on the DB-25 connector to the printer; use /dev/cufa when you use PrintManager to config the printer. You can then modify the printcap file to run at 19200 baud (and dload it into the database) or use the printer at the default 9600 Baud. Works fine with the new dvips TeXview (if you modify the config.ps file to 300 dpi resolution), but if you print NeXT files with lots of graphics (e.g., from the Librarian), it is best to print small amounts at a time, 2-4 pages. Any postscript error will abort print jobs, so it is not a complete blessing. I am trying to trade my LJIIP for a NeXt printer -- to speed things up. Greetings, Hardy -------****------- Meinhard E.
