The current grey background on my NeXT is fine and all, but since I've a colour station, I would like to take advantage of the beast and have a pretty picture as a background... I know of two programmes, one is a improvement of the other, both called Background (2 in the second case)...but these are for taking current tiff images and putting them (or eps, I think) as backdrops. Is it possible to make a gif image do the same? By using ViewGif 2 I can dump a gif into tiff, but the size is fixed, I want something for the whole screen. NeXTGif allows you to resize the picture, but not save the output...I can use grab, but that would also mean grabbing the dock, miniature windows, etc.. SO, how can I take a gif image and make it fit as a whole desktop. Also, is this stupid to do, does it munch much memory? I've only got 12mb, but will get another 8 in the next week or so. thansk, scott -- mcintyre@nsfnet-relay.ac.uk Scott A.
