I'm looking for the emacs sources that compile under 2.0/2.1. I heard that the ones on the 'GNU Source Release 1.0' disk do not compile any longer. I want to get my ACL interface working and so I need to recompile emacs. Any ideas, pointers, ftp? Eckel Gerhard IRCAM, Paris eckel@ircam.fr

emacs 18.55 is part of the extended release; you should have it form NeXT; then add a collection of more recent e-lisp files from prep.ai.mit.edu (such as the dired-family, ange-ftp, etc), and the Emacs front end, and you save yourself the trouble of not being able to compile emacs.
