Under System 1.*, I had written several command line program that used the "text" library to gain access to Webster's Dictionary. This program could look up a definition and have it returned to my program without having to launch Webster's from the console. Now, under System 2.0, I can't find how, or if it is still possible, to recompile these programs to access the dictionary. Has anyone tried this? BTW, you might want to look in the anonymous FTP directories pub/webster and pub/webster/NeXT-2.0 on iuvax.cs.indiana.edu; Steve Hayman's <sahayman@cs.indiana.edu> stuff may be all you need, or at least a good starting point. -=EPS=-

Does anyone know if the original version of Digital Webster will run under 2.1? ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Patrick Stickler Research Unit for Computational Linguistics stickler@cc.helsinki.fi Department of General Linguistics (+358 0) 1913513 University of Helsinki ========================================================================== The comments contained herein cannot reflect the official views of my employer.
