Given that I have 120 articles in my alt.next spool directory, I would imagine that it's not too far out to assume that if comp.sys.next were to be created by some enterprising soul, that it would get some traffic. I'm collecting votes on the create of 'comp.sys.next'. Here's how you can vote so that it causes me a minimum of hassle: 1. Reply to this article, edit the subject line accordingly, and send it off. 2. Mail your yes votes to 'next-vote-yes@starbarlounge.cc.umich.edu'. Mail your no votes to 'next-vote-no@starbarlounge.cc.umich.edu'. This vote will adhere to the stated guidelines for new group creation, with the exception that if my poor Apollo becomes unusable because of incoming mail, I'll end the voting. (And after 500 votes come in as well, just because I don't have infinite disk space). Vote early ! Vote often !

Ed Vielmetti ought to know the Usenet guidelines by now. Discuss creating a new group in news.groups; crosspost the call for votes to subject related groups if you want. And that's not how you run the mail ballot. -- Tom Neff UUCP: ...!cmcl2!phri!dasys1!tneff "None of your toys CIS: 76556,2536 MCI: TNEFF will function..." GEnie: TOMNEFF BIX: t.neff (no kidding)
