Anyone who got my copy of dired.el should do a M-x re-search-forward \<lis\> and make sure it fails. I've received a couple of messages about losing a "t" on variables of the form ".*list" I've checked my original of dired.el (i.e., the one that I currently use) and the above regexp search should fail. I don't know where the "t" gets eaten.... roland -- Roland Roberts BITNET: roberts@uornsrl Nuclear Structure Research Lab INTERNET: rbr4@uhura.cc.rochester.edu 271 East River Road UUCP: rochester!ur-cc!uhura!rbr4 Rochester, NY 14267 AT&T: (716) 275-8962

Ok, let me start by apologizing for having no summary, and a misleading subject... I don't know how to use this news program to start an entry, just reply to a previous one... Where can I get a gnu emacs for my vms system? Currently I am relegated to suffering on un*x...
