Could someone please e-mail me the latest 'GNU Emacs Lisp Manual' .dvi file, or point me to where I can find it?? The one I have is the September 88, 2nd Draft. It was in .dvi format. However, it has been generated such that there are a lot of unresolved references, therefore a lot of '<undefined>'s. There is also no index. I tried to generate .dvi from the .tar file. However, my system doesn't seem to have 'texindex'. Given all that, I would like to have a .dvi file with all the index pages and without <undefined> references. Having the source to feed into TeX may cause problems. Thanks in advance to whoever can help me with this... | Mr. Tuna Ertemalp | Mailbox #659 | Small things together | | Stanford University | Crothers Memorial Hall | form the quality, | | Computer Science MS | Stanford, CA 94305, USA | But quality is not a | | Ertem@Polya.Stanford.Edu | (415) 328-8515 | small thing! |

The September 88 version is the last one released. If you run the manual source through tex, you have to do it twice to get the references in. A couple undefined references remained in that version, but that is not as bad as missing references altogether. texindex should be in your emacs/man directory. The index is provided as a .dvi file (on a.cs.uiuc.edu in pub/gnuemacs/elisp) but is safe to use only if you use the elisp.dvi file also. dan
