[gnu.emacs.lisp.manual] Gnu Manual -- Gnu'er Version?

abp@PTOLEMY.ARC.NASA.GOV (Andy Philips) (06/06/89)

Someone has given me a copy of the Gnu Emacs Lisp Manual.
It is from September 1988. I am wondering if you have
put out another manual, or a set of updates for this manual.
BTW- On first perusal it looks very nice.

Thanks in advance,

Andy Philips

A newer edition of the elisp manual that may be used with info
is available from a.cs.uiuc.edu in pub/gnuemacs/elisp. This edition
is not printable with TeX because the modified texinfo.tex is not
available.

    put out another manual....?

A newer version of the Emacs Lisp Reference Manual is in the works.
RMS and I are editing it. This version will be distributed by FSF
both electronically and in hard copy. We will make an announcement.

The manual is very long, but very interesting.
