Hmmm, I ended up putting intermittant wiper gizmos on my ol' Chevy pickup about 5 years ago. I found out it worked well enough that I put one on my ladyfriend's Chevelle. We found the things at a Venture store and I've seen the things all over the place ever since. The one in her car quit after a year so I gave her the one out of the truck. I took hers and put a new 555 timer chip in it and its been in my truck ever since. The things are cheap and dirty. They cost ten bucks. I forget the manufacter's name though...I'll post that later if I can find it. It seems that the timer ic turns the relay in the thing on and switches power to the low speed wire to the motor. It only applies power briefly and lets the park switch return the wipers. The pot tells it how long to wait to chase the things across the windshield again. Oh, when the one quit, I just ran down to Radio Shack to get another timer chip. No sweat...That cost about a buck. Now, what I'd like to do is put the wiper booms on my truck that have the washer nozzles attatched. They seem a little more efficient somehow. I never liked those nozzles that will pee clear over the top and get the guy behind if they get bent(8-). There are still a few cars around with convertible tops, ya see(8-). Regards, Tom Frye
