Hello, I have sent many messages for help on this, but have never received any answer. I hate to keep repeating, but I need an answer. Last spring we purchased the GNU tape for VMS and the second tape for VMS. Both tapes were labeled VMS Back-Up. We were able to load the GNU tape with no problems. After several trys we decided the second tape was not a save-set. We were not able to do any sort of directory on the tape so we decided the tape was bad. We returned the tape and Stacey Goldstein sent us a second tape. The second tape seemed to be just like the first. We decided to keep messing with the tape. Eventually we were able to get the first file off the tape. It seemed to be a command file to load all the rest of the tape. It appeared to use some logicals not meaningfull for our VAX so we made-up some definitions which seemed to be appropriate. We tried to then execute it. It seemed to be working for a few moments. Then we began to get a lot of errors. Most indicated other missing symbol/logical definitions. We were not able to get any working program off the tape. Can anyone supply more instructions? -R.L. ****************************************************************************** * Robert Lopez Phone: (505)822-7112 * * Test Engineering Computer Specialist FAX: (505)822-7494 * * Signetics Corporation, E-Sort TWX: 910/989-1615 * * P.O.
