[I know that this has been asked before, but I never seem to see any posted replies so I will ask . . . ] Does anyone have, or know of where I can get, a manual describing the syntax of MC68000 GAS, including the pseudo-operators and such? We are using GCC, GAS and several of the binutils to cross-compile MC68000 code on our (non-m68k) HP mini. I have figured most of the easy stuff, mnemonics and simple operand syntax, but the pseudo-ops and trickier operand expressions (assembly-time arithmetic and such) are bringing me down. I have the beginnings of a home-grown manual, but what I have so far extracted from the source code is not sufficient to allow us to port all of our code. We are porting several thousand lines of code and so "translate it into C" is not a reasonable solution. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please email any responses and I will summarize what I learn. ** Traffic Advisory ** Note that you may have trouble with the domain-style hostname from whence this article is originating. If things break you might try just 'robbin@resrch' for UUCP sites or 'van-bc!resrch!robbin@uunet.uu.net' for internet sites. I have recently been informed that 'molienergy.bc.ca' is not in any host tables (we are not on the INTERNET) and the solution to this (*my*) mistake will take a few weeks to implement. -- Robbin Johnson ...!ubc-cs!van-bc!resrch!robbin robbin@MoliEnergy.BC.CA ...!uunet!/
