After many frustrating weeks of be "transfixed" seemingly forever (yes, Ken, I think we got a bug here), I have taken the following action with treasure rooms: As soon as I discover it's a treasure room, I go as far back down the hallway as I can. Then I wield my bow and arrow (or throw darts and spears) to kill as many of the monsters as possible. This works fine on the first 6-8 levels. I have never had the occassion to try it farther down (once you land up in a room with two T's you know it's all over!) Mickey Levine ucbvax!cca!mickey
