[gnu.gdb.bug] Source pointer in Emacs running GDB

abair@turbinia.oakhill.uucp (Alan Bair) (06/13/89)

This is more a question than a bug report, but this is the only place I
could see to post it.

I am running GDB 3.1.2 in Emacs 18.52. The source code line pointer does
not always match with where GDB says the code is executing. The pointer
seems to jump several lines further down in the source at the end of a
function. I need to also add that the code I am running was generated by
the Sun C compiler.

Is there a problem running GDB on Sun C code or is there an update in Emacs
for the newer GDB? This is not a major problem. I ususally run dbxtool at
work, so only run into this at home on my terminal.

Any hints will be appreciated.
