[gnu.gdb.bug] diff files in distribution

MILLER%KANGA.DECNET%MSUS1.BITNET@MITVMA.MIT.EDU (01/02/90)

In trying to use the diff files to upgrade from 3.2 to 3.3 to 3.4, a
context diff on the directories only reports the names of files that
exist in only one directory. New files are not obtained.

Do a 'grep "^Only in" diff-file' to find the new and old files.

I am assuming that the existance of the diff files is to decrease traffic
on the internet.

Sorry about that, and thanks for pointing it out. I should have used
GNU diff with the -rc2N options. The diffs on prep are now updated.

Keep those cards and letters coming. Sometimes my responses to bug
reports bounce, and I probably sometimes forget to answer (or put off
considering your suggestion, for example right now I'm not making big
changes, because I want to get a stable GDB release), but thanks to
everyone who has submitted useful bug reports.
