My apologies for polluting the net with this, but a number of other
alternatives have been tried with zero results, and it is clear that
there are many others in the same boat. Our site made a formal request
for a copy of Rogue 5.2 to Ken Arnold in reply to his announcement of
its distribution on Apr. 2 '82. We have heard absolutely nothing further
about it. I have mailed the address Ken Arnold gave in that announcement
as his in several different ways to no avail. Several other parties
have expressed an interest in this group for the new version as well,
probably newcomers who missed the original notice. We are still burdened
with 3.6, which we long ago purged of every secret it contains. Ken, if
you see this, what's the score? Did you get our request, or is there some
problem in getting it here? If not, does anyone know if he reads his
news/mail, if he still lives, etc. or is anyone willing to pass on a
copy (I know the original terms were no xeroxing). If there is some
policy against continuous distribution, how about batching requests
into a second formal distribution? Any genuinely helpful mail would be
appreciated.
