Here's another quick one for someone to answer.  We all know that the damage
you inflict with a weapon is a function of your strength.  But what about
with wands and staves?  More than once, I have had the sinking feeling that
sticks are insensitive to number of strength points.  If so, this would
indicate greater relative effectiveness for sticks when strength is low,
less when strength is high.  Any corroborating or disconfirming observations?
