I believe that this service is limited to UK.AC (and UK.CO?) people only.
I do not run the service.

Send a message such as

request: catalogue
topic: ********
request: end

where the "topic: ********" line might be

topic: index
	for current list of topics

topic: help
	for some general help on the software available. 

Send an empty message for help on retrieving other things.

Send with NO subject to 

either 
        info-server@uk.ac.nott.cs
or
        info-server@uk.ac.ic.doc

Both can supply most GNU sources and are fairly up to date
with current versions. Only one copy kept, no diffs.
