Have any of you reckless rogue adveturers ever tried picking up
an arrow after it has missed you while you walked over an arrow trap?
Over here several people have and with great results. Upon identifying
my latest arrow I found it to be a +100,000 , +100,000 range arrow it
always hit the first time and always killed the opposing monster the
first time. The version of the game is 3.7 . This obviously is some bug
in the game, however some of you who have not yet been inquisitive enough
to try everything may find this enlightening, once you have such an arrow
there is no problem finishing the game. Also the arrow can be sold outside
for approximately 1 million gold.

The "Uninitialized Arrow" bug has been known for quite sometime, and I believe it has been fixed in later versions of rogue. An arrow that is shot at you does not get its hit and damage fields initialized in 3.7, and occasionally you come up with one that has rediculous values. If the value happens to be large positive you have a super magic weapon, and if it has large negative values you have a super dumb weapon! In conjunction with such an arrow if you manage to get a scroll of genocide and use it genocide the Umber Hulks, then there is virtually nothing that can stop you except sheer stupidity or lack of food, from becoming a total winner.
