[net.games.rogue] another glaring feature

Hmmm.  Very interesting.  a rogue rogue.save comes
into my directory after a normal lose.  On restarting,
a strange scene, the fatal battle superimposed over a
gravestone with my name on it.  ( A memorial perhaps? )
The bottom line is the bottom line.  Hit points recorded
as negative thirteen out of a possible forty-eight.  Or,
interpreted as an unsigned int ( after all, everylovin one
knows there are no negative hit points in this game ),
four billion.  two hundred ninety four million.
nine hundred sixty seven thousand.  two hundred eighty three
hit points, without cheating.  has anyone beaten this?
