[gnu.chess] Getting sources and compatibility

mattioli@TOOK.DEC.COM (John R. Mattioli) (01/06/90)

I was wondering if and when the new gnu chess sources will be posted. I
don't have ftp access.

Also, I'd like to run gnuchess on my pc. Is the ms-dos support still
around?

Now this is a strange request but, trust me, you'll understand.

I used to run gnuchesr without the x-window support on top of it. Doing
this I was able to enter, and get back, moves and use my own board to track the
moves. I find this real helpful. No, I'm not weird, I'm just blind and
therefore unable to read the screen. So, naturally, I'd like to continue doing
this with the new version of chess. Anyone know if it's possible or not?

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.
