Forwarded-For: Roland McGrath <mcgrath%paris.Berkeley.EDU@ginger.berkeley.edu> GNU Make version 3.45 is now available for anonymous FTP from prep.ai.mit.edu. This version fixes some serious bugs in version 3.44, and will also probably be significantly faster in large directories (though not faster than versions prior to 3.41). The DVI and Info files are now distributed separately from the source code, saving more than 200k in the compressed tar file. In the directory /u/emacs on prep.ai.mit.edu, are make.tar-3.45.Z (about 250k compressed), make-doc.tar-3.45.Z (216k compressed, the DVI and Info files), make.diff-3.44-3.45 (15k uncompressed), and make.diff-3.44-3.45.Z (7k compressed). This software will soon be available for anonymous uucp on osu-cis and anonymous ftp on gatekeeper.dec.com. The difference files do not include changes to tags or TAGS.
