Version 3.54 of GNU Make is now available for anonymous FTP from
prep.ai.mit.edu. The file make-3.54.tar.Z is about 280k (compressed),
and the file make-doc-3.54.tar.Z (the DVI and Info files) is about
225k (compressed).

There are a few functional changes since the last release (version
3.48). See the file CHANGES.

There has been some reorganization of the sources, including splitting
some files into smaller pieces. Because there are new files, and some
old files are drastically changed, I am not distributing diffs from
version 3.48.

If you submitted a bug report previously and have not since used a
fixed version, try your test case on the new version, and resubmit the
report if it fails.

I would like to find someone to do regression testing of GNU Make.
This means collecting bug reports and trying all the test cases on
each new version. If you would like to do this, please contact me
(roland@ai.mit.edu).

Send bug reports to bug-gnu-utils@prep.ai.mit.edu or gnUSENET
newsgroup gnu.utils.bug (but not both; they are the same thing). Send
other comments and suggestions to roland@ai.mit.edu.
