In reply to G. Spafford: The only command line options that I know rogue (3.6 and 5.2) offer are "-s" (for the score) and "-r" (for restore). Many systems have the introductive tutorial like paper on rogue. In there it tells about them. I can't remember anymore right now. The "-r" option is like saying "rogue rogue.save" if the file "rogue.save" is your default save file. If your options make another save file name instead (I like "lastgame"), then for me "rogue -r" is the same as "rogue lastgame". It's nice, but no big deal. Do any of y'all net roguers know of any other COMMAND LINE options? If so, please say what they are AND FOR WHAT VERSION, too. You can send them to me and I'll summarize if I get enough interested roguers. Mike, System Roguer ...!sdcsvax!laman mike@NPRDC P.S. Has anyone besides me literally (!) rogued a system to death? I have literally taken over the entire system with rogue games (It was BY ACCIDENT).

If your game has the WIZARD definition definied at compile-time, then there is also the -w option that will propmpt for the wizard's passwd and, if you get it, put you right into wizard mode.

Our version (3.7) has the '-c' option which allows a 'cheater's' game. What it does is NOT remove the saved game when you 'rogue -c'. If you get killed after restarting a game, you can start in again with the same saved game and (perhaps) do things differently.

All right, folks. You want to know what the command line options are? They are: -s print the current score file -r restart from default save file -d die. This saves lots of time. Well, all right, the last one doesn't exist in rogue 5.2.... Ken P.S. There is NO -w option. The way to get it to prompt for the wizards password is to have a null argument, thusly: rogue "" This, combined with other arcane and dificult things, will get rogue to prompt for the wizards' password in any version or rogue.
