[net.games.rogue] Suggested rogue change: what do YOU think?

Some por sodden individual has had the misfortune to come up with a
suggested change to rogue that interests me slightly, so some other
poor sodden individual (me) is going to ask the net what they think
of it, and then get themselves buried under another deluge of mail,
flames, new suggestions, and cow shit.  The suggeston is:

	use "^H" to mean "fh", "^J" to mean "fj", etc., and get
	rid of the "f" prefix.

Now (he says, cringing), what d'yall think?

I wouldn't suggest changing that, for two reasons:
1)  People are mostly already used to the f<dir> format
    and changing would be a pain
2)  What would you do about ^L?  Would fl become the
    new command to redraw the screen?
