I've been using "rn" for a long while to read news; I just started with GNUS, and am quite pleased with the difference. One thing I'd like to see GNUS learn is to allow posting to a moderated newsgroup (e.g. comp.sys.sun). I think "rn" does this by mailing the posting to the moderator, but I'm not sure. Nope, inews does this for you, so none of the individual news readers
or posters need to know how (or bother getting it right). If your
GNUS can post to a non-moderated newsgroup, and if your news system
correctly arranges for a posting to be mailed to a moderator when you
use rn, then it will get it right for GNUS, too.
