G'day, We just added a new system to our network. My home directory on the system is on an NFS mounted device. We have several other systems that are set up in this same manner. GNUS 3.11 works fine on the older systems but on the new one (a VAX 8800 running Ultrix 2.2) it's broken (or rather the system is broken). When I call up GNUS I get the newsgroup buffer, and it looks fine, but when I hit the space bar for the first newsgroup I get the "no such newsgroup" error message. NNTP must be working somehow, because the unread message counts are all correct, but when I try to select any newsgroup everything barfs. Also. This new machine has the /usr/spool/news directory mounted over NFS. I tried setting gnus-nntp-server to the same value as the function system-name ("aries"), but GNUS tells me "host aries not responding" when I call it up. Any ideas? Thanks.
