I like the ordering of rogue items. It's very important to have all potions together, all scrolls together, etc., so one can see how many one has. For example, I don't quaff unknown potions unless I have a couple in reserve to heal a blindness. There's a logical grouping to these things. All you have to do is keep an eye on how many arrows you have - that's about the only danger. If I have a two-handed sword, I usually drop my arrows and pick them up again so that they appear after the sword and there's no danger of throwing it. Weapons always appear at the end anyway, so it's not possible to throw suits of armour.
