For certain NNTP servers, I get a proper list of newsgroups, but when I try to read a particular newsgroup, I get the message ``Checking for bogus newsgroups'' After this, it pops back to the newsgroups list, without ever showing a subject index. Does anyone know why this happens, or a possible fix? Sometimes ask me if I want to remove some bogus newsgroups, but that doesn't always happen -- it's not clear that it's barfing because of bogus newsgroups, it looks more like a protocol violation of some kind. -- Dirk Grunwald -- Univ. of Illinois (grunwald@flute.cs.uiuc.edu)
