In comp.sources.bugs, there was an article with this subject: Subject: Bug in csh (history, "!a%100s"), Report and Fix. In the status line of the *Subject* window, that appeared as: Bug in csh (history, "!ano process At least, that looks like a bug to me. I'm also running GNUS 3.12 and had exactly the problem that Bill describes. My guess is that since the subject contains a '%100s' the buffer's process status is being displayed in the modeline by mistake. Perhaps each '%' in the subject should be quoted by doubling it before placing into the modeline? -- ange -- ange@hplb.hpl.hp.com
