[alt.bbs] BBS over Tymnet

The company I work for is in the process of migrating the functionality of
a E-mail host to the PC-LAN level. We are currently using McDonnel Douglass's
Ontyme host, we would like to move to something along the lines of PC-Board.
In moving to the PC-Lan, we will still keep the TYMNET access numbers and
become a node off the TYMNET network. TYMNET gave us two options a X.25
connection or their own PAD. We will run this off of about 16 rack mounted
286 or 386 machines running PC-Board. They will be hooked up to a Novell
network with arcnet cards and a Compaq/386 25Mh as the server. We will have
about 50 users calling in at various times.

We can't decide whether or not we should buy our own pad and which one we
should use. The rack mounted PCs number, capacity, and supplier are still a
toss up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
