I'm interested in setting up a "product user" bbs. I would like perspective buyers to be able to download information and an executable demo. I would like purchasers to be able to download certain files, upload problems or questions, post and read messages. I am planning on dedicating an 8-mhz AT, running dos, for this purpose. My hard disk is dying, so I need to get a new one. I will start off with one-person support, but I would like to be able to grow. 1) What hard disk size do I need? 2) What hard disk speed is necessary? 3) What types of modems will be required? 4) What software will serve my immediate and future needs? 5) Is there any other hardware that I will need? In other words, I know nothing! ANY and ALL help will be greatly appreciated. Information, pointers to information, applicable books and magazines would be wonderful. I will, of course, post a summary or respond to mail requests for the information I receive. I'm sorry if this has been gone over before, but I NEVER thought I would be a "sysop." Thanks!
