I pulled FSUUCP10.ZIP off of polyslo.calpoly.edu (it was in the ~ftp/tmp directory at the time). Everything unzipped ok, but the X00.SYS fossil driver that Chris mentioned in the docs was not included. Naturally, I can't make CALLOUT.EXE work. I looked in my FSUUCP1B.ZIP archive and it had been left out of it as well. I seem to recall it being in one before that, and when I last worked with FSUUCP1B.ZIP, I already had X00.SYS. Well, since then, I have deleted it. I imagine Chris had it stored in a different place and simply forgot to include it. I tried calling his bbs number, but it is busy AROUND the clock (hmmm?). His voice support number rings and rings - ie, he seems to be away. This is where somebody reading this comes in. Is it just the file I retrieved, or was it missing from others as well? If someone out there has it and could UUENCODE and email it to me, I would be very grateful. A friend of mine is very eager to try it out and we can't proceed until I find it - somewhere. I suspected that it is probably available for download from some BBS as it is a third party driver. But "where" is a good question. If anyone can help me out on this, I would be extremely grateful! Plus I would enjoy any comments anyone has on using FSUUCP 1.01 for a news/mail node. Please email responses and I will summarize. Thanks a bunch! Mark. -- Mark J.
