How does one use a ring of teleportation? What does it do? I've put them on but get no apparent results.

If you really have one, you bounce around every 5 moves or so, with no control over where or when. It makes searching a level or getting to the stairs very difficult. Do not put one on. It is cursed.

of course, a ring of teleportation, tho cursed, can save your (excuse the slight personification) life. if you're running away from a T or U or X or some other favourite nemesis, the random teleportation can move you far enough away (read: close enough to the stairs) so that you can escape. obviously, this is a last-ditch effort at best. on the other hand, if you have nothing better to do... ignore name at top. dave peters.
