Job Description:
	Senior Environmental Scientist
	Research & Development


Immediate opening for a Senior Environmental Scientist in the Research
and Development Department at Walt Disney Imagineering.  The preferred
candidate will have a MS or PhD in environmental Sciences with an
emphasis on hydrology of natural systems, particularly surfacewater
and shallow groundwater as they relate to wetlands.  A strong
mathematical and quantitative ability as well as familiarity with
current research and engineering modeling techniques for surface water
movement and flood control is essential.  A background in
environmental chemistry, biochemistry or geochemistry is a plus, as is
familiarity of regulatory programs in the US and Europe.  This
technical background combined with independence in work habits and
ability to work well with people in a team setting will result in
numerous opportunities for a creative problem solving individual.

Principal responsibilities will include the design and design review
of mitigation wetlands in riparian, coastal estuarine and isolated
wetlands.  Our projects include creation and restoration of wetlands
and are located in California, Florida and Europe and Asia.  Some
travel will be required.  Additional responsibilities will be a
diverse representation of all manner of environmental issues that
affect the Walt Disney Companies, and include integrated pest
management, hazardous materials management, air quality issues and
alternative materials evaluations.
