Does anyone know if it is possible to use a software eject for a floppy drive on a IBM compatiable running DOS? (like on a MacIntosh). The drive in question is a TEAC FD-135FN-51 and it does have the ability to do an auto-eject when both DRIVE SELECT and Write Operation are sent to it. I'm not terribly au fait with hardware at a low level and am asking this for a friend. I would like to hear from anyone who knows if (and how) it is possible. The ideal situation is that some sort of character(s) entered at the keyboard would eject the disk. Am I asking too much? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Michael Jones, Computer Science Dept, Massey University, Palmerston North, NZ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phone +64 +63 69099 Ext 7816 Internet: M.Jones@massey.ac.nz ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
