A network of 386 PC's is being set up here. We are using the Banyan/Vines networking software with Starlan The server is also a 386 with an EISA bus. Just a couple of questions..... a) Did we make the wrong choice? It was strongly recommended that we use the above combination. It's not been all smooth sailing.....thus far.... b) Is it possible to have the client machines (which are hard diskless) boot from the server? Are there any cheap boot proms that we could use? (We know there are expensive boards out there). c) We have been told that we need 3Mb of mem to run windows 3 with Banyan. Is this correct? Can we get away with 2Mb? ANY comments or advice will be gladly received .... Bernie (who hates PC's anyway). D. E. C. R. University of Melbourne, Australia.
