Hello out there: We've run into a few strange problems running PC-NFS (v3.0) with a Sun 3/60 server. At some point PC-NFS seems to pick a random person from /etc/passwd, and every PC-user (even if net name is used) gets mapped to him/her from that point on. This happens only for authentication and printing. Mucking about with the /etc/passwd, we discovered that only changing the name of the user results in a change. Changing the uid/gid fields don't change who it gets mapped to. Once it starts this it seems to be constant but we can't figure out what's starting it. Also writing something to a mounted drive works just fine with the right name and everything, so I'm suspecting pcnfsd as the culprit. By the way this has happened under SunOS3.5 and 4.0 and running YP and not. Both were running v3.0 of PC-NFS. We've also noticed that when running SPSS off a server and escaping to dos issuing and net print command results in a buffer error that isn't suppose to happen. (This may have something to do with the Dos print driver, I'm told it has a similar problem). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got a person here who is is beginning to wonder if the system can develop a crush on older women. It's been picking up her name for about a week now.
