[comp.protocols.nfs] PC-NFS and Ungermann Bass NIU card

I am sorry if this is not the right place to post
this (if it isn't, tell me where).  We are thinking
of trying to use PC-NFS in conjunction with an
Ungermann-Bass NIU card...has anyone tried this
combination and does it work?

Cough, cough.  I believe the last line I got out of Sun was that
they will work with the NIU cards but only if you load the UB XNS
code on the board (i.e. do not use the TCP/IP software).  This may
have been fixed since UB has pretty much reworked the software for
these boards.  We pretty much gave up on the NIU's because they are
so expensive that most vendors don't bother to implement drivers
for them.  The NIC cards are a third of the price of the "smart"
NIU cards.
