[comp.protocols.nfs] print redirection

This is one I haven't been able to find in the manual, though we've
seen before that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't there.

I need to be able to select which DOS printer volumes get redirected
across the net, and which remain local to the PC. Sometimes I'd like
them all to remain local. But PRT * redirects them all, as far as
I know, and there is nothing I can find about other parameters for it
to be selective (I tried a couple and froze my system solid).

What I'm doing at the moment is commenting out the PRT * call in AUTOEXEC.
NET START xxxx * protests that PC-NFS isn't properly installed. The net
seems to function alright, but one never really knows, and I'd like
to get the printers managed in a fashion PC-NFS approves.

I'd also appreciate a tip to where the documentation describes how to send
parameters to "lpr" for using NET PRINT.

And finally, does anybody else find NET USE failing to mount remote
printers because the server won't give it a drive T:, V: or U: to use?
I assume we're not the only ones whose server denies access to directories
outside the mount point. And if this doesn't seem to have anything to do
with the denial, then I must be misunderstanding the manual.

    Thanks for any help,
