We have recently encountered problems with the printer redirector
with PC-NFS. (version 3.00).
We have some Zenith 286 based systems running MS-DOS 3.3 with
BICC PC-AT Ethernet cards.
The printer redirection was apparently working fine, until we
had to modify the config.sys on all our systems (we upgraded to a
new release of an application, which required more memory).
It is now behaving inconsistantly. Whether it works or not seems
to be dependant on some unknown condition at boot time.
net print always works fine, but copy file.txt lpt1:
where lpt1: is a re-directed printer results in file.txt being
scrolled up on the console, usually hanging the system, such that a
power on/off cycle is required. No network activity occurs.
Any ideas?
