In my previous posting, I gave credit for rogue to Mike Toy. This was based upon the authorship of "The Guide to the Dungeons of Doom". Upon further investigation (and a gentle prod from Glenn Wichman) I find that someone else deserves credit, namely Glenn. The rest of my posting still stands until disproven. I was sure that rogue was written by Ken Arnold, but now someone else is claiming credit for it? Someone please clarify...

The version of "A Guide To The Dungeons of Doom" that came with version 3.6 *ONLY* list Mike Toy as the author. It was not until version 5.2 that Ken Arnold showed up in the official credits. Dave Brierley, ...!decvax!brunix!rayssd!dhb

Hey everybody: Michael Toy is the author to the Guide to the Dungeons of Doom. He is the only author of that document. That is why he is listed as the only author of that document. That does not imply that he is the only author of Rogue. Since Ken's and my independant history lessons did not seem to set the record straight, I will point it out once again: Michael Toy, Glenn R. Wichman, and Ken Arnold are together the authors of Rogue. None of us (to the best of my knowledge) is claiming any more credit than any other of us. Okay? enough said? Can I go now? -Glenn
